The Issue

It is not our right to experiment on animals, eat them, wear them, use them for entertainment, or abuse them in any way. Check out this section to learn more about the issues.

Every day in countries around the world animals are fighting for their lives. They are enslaved, beaten and chained for the “entertainment” of humans; they are mutilated and confined in tiny cages so we can kill and eat them; they are burned, blinded, poisoned and dismembered alive in the name of “science”; they are electrocuted, strangled and skinned alive so people can walk around wearing their coats; and worse.

The abuse that animals suffer at the hands of humans is heartbreaking, disgusting and anger-inducing. It is even more so when we realize that the choices we make every day – such as what we eat for lunch and what kind of shampoo we buy – can fuel this abuse. But as hard as it is to think, we can’t stop animal suffering if we just look the other way and pretend it’s not happening.

Animals deserve rights, no matter how bad they taste or how convenient it is to experiment on them. Just like humans, animals are capable of suffering and have their own lives. They cannot be used for food, clothing, experiments, or entertainment.
